So who all has not registered but plans on attending the event? We need to get a feel for how much rations to pick up.

              Re: Federals at Picketts Mill

COMMON ONV Men andALL who plan on attending New Hope Church. If your going to the event then register this week if you can. Steve is right we cant get rations done without an accurate head count. We cant arrange a shedule or figure out how we are going to use the Battalion without a head count. By not taking five minutes to register you are putting the organizers through days of added work.
We have 25 in Comany E now. I am looking for about 10 more. If you want to cap at 35 thats fine.
              If not thats fine to.
But PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE , ALL, get your registrations IN.
              Thanks

                    Re: Federals at Picketts Mill

Thanks fellas for letting us know. If we get our registrants in before the due date, it gives us a chance to organize better. As you all noticed there are more than just a few Confederate bretheran attending. We need to put out a good showing so they and we can have a more immersive experience.

While we may not march as much as 2004, we will have plenty of immersion experiences to fill our time at The Mill so if you've never attended a full immersion event, built field works, worked with pioneers, deployed as skirmishers for long periods of time, moved across the amazing property of Picketts Mill or have done all of the above and want more of the experience, New Hope Church is for you.

Re: Federals at Picketts Mill: Skirmish Drill

Hey all you good federals preparing for New Hope Church at Picketts Mill.

As we get closer and closer to the event, I wanted to let you all know that we need to be very proficient with skirmish drill: deploying by an on, firing, advance, retreat, wheel, flankers, etc. We will use the bugle as much as possible to deploy the skirmishers.
