  • Kennesaw Mountain Living History

Just wanted to get let you all know that the Kennesaw Mountain Living History is on for June 19-21, 2009. We had to postpone because of the floods here in Iowa last June. (here in Iowa City we thought our bridges were going to be washed out)

If you are interested in attending please e-mail me (headlog@gmail.com), PM me or call 319-341-5885. What a great way to get ready for Bummers in November!

You can also come out with some real Hawkeyes who for once are going to do THIER base impression.

We will portray Company G of the 11th Iowa.
    Check out our website:

    Merry Christmas!

I was bummed it was canceled last year...in lieu of Bummers not being spectator accessable.... we will be coming up for to witness this one for certain.

I have a collection of US and CS artifacts with direct provenance from Kennesaw dug before the NPS era.

We still have a couple of slots open. If you are in the Atlanta area and would like to join us call me 319-471-0571 or e-mail headlog@gmail.com.

Our impression is company G of the 11th Iowa. Come join us Hawkeyes for a good living history.

For those that are already coming. We will be leaving Iowa Wednesday night and should be onsite by midmorning Friday. Late arrivals don't worry. We will have men posted at the gate for you.

Drink plenty of water and be ready for a busy two days.

Once again thanks to all those that have registered. For twenty years the Hairy Nation Boys have been portraying Comapny G of the 11th Iowa. We have been waiting to do this event for years...
