Just a reminder. Unlike many events where we are NOT allowed to dig firepits, we are asking any soldiers with digging implements (e.g. shovels, picks, canteen halves, etc.) to please bring them. You will need to dig firepits at this event, rather than just the usual "circle of rocks". We would appreciate it if you fill the pits back in prior to resuming the march; and we will do some fine grading afterward with power equipment, but we are depending on you all to keep fire risks to a minimum.
Also, please bear in mind that we will be on pristine private land. We must keep the trust of the generous folks who have allowed us to use their properties. Therefore, any trash (even "period" trash), cigarette butts, etc. must be picked up. Cartridge wraps and spent caps are fine to leave behind, but nothing else.
We will also not have any Porta-Johns on the mountain, but will be installing peat moss lined slit-trench latrines for both the US and CS camps. Therefore, please remember to bring TP for yourselves!
