  • Lost Tribes Preservation Update

    Hi All,
The funds to Athens Battlefield have been sent. The grand total raised by the participants of Lost Tribes, and the folks who were so good to donate items for the raffle netted a grand total of $1,215.00, and that's in a poor economy! Thanks goes out to Holler and Silvana for putting this event together, without their hard work there would be no preservation funds. Thanks to all who came and supported the event, and raffle; there would be no preservation funds.
I anticipate more $$ for a final total, when that happens I'll post the final numbers.
On an additional note, this State Historic Site doesn't have any descriptive signs explaining the battle. The donation it is hoped will go towards this. If you are looking for that year end tax deduction, I'm sure they would welcome additional donations.
    Thank you,

This was the largest donation the Athens Battlefield has ever received.
