    Re: Registered

    Kiev or Tripp,

Wondering if a red boatman's shirt with black taped bib front will be acceptable for the ranks. I can send pics if you would like to see it. Made by Ross Lamoreaux, all hand stitched.

      Re: Registered

      Mark and all,

This is from Matt Woodburn and Kiev Thomason regarding the red overshirts for Company C. "go with a single placket down the front instead. No trim please. Just a plain red woolen shirt with a single placket, number of buttons can be 2, 3, 4." The shirt must have a fold down collar, and don't forget your white star on each collar. See Galen Wagner's offer for white stars as well.

Again this is from Captain Thomason some please follow the guidelines.

Once again, the guidelines for the uniforms can be found here: http://www.westernindependentgrays.o...guidelines.htm

The research into why we are the red shirted ones can be found here: http://www.westernindependentgrays.o...0/research.htm

        Re: Registered

Some more clarifications on the Red Overshirts for our Company:
"All other companies should wear a solid red wool flannel shirt with one white star on each collar. The shirt may have pockets or not, styles can vary, and really any red wool flannel shirt is acceptable." This means that the shirts should be WOOL not cotton. I have spoken with Kiev and other event organizers for further clarification on the shirts appearance. The shirts may or may not have a placket, also fireman bibs are prohibited! The shirts should have a fold down collar. Any trimming/piping blue, black, neon etc are not allowed and should be removed. The shirt buttons can be brass, japanned tin, china, or bone. Additionally, the shirts should be tucked into the trousers. These guidelines are simple and will provide a uniform look for our company.
