Rippavilla- October 7-9 2011

The Independent Rifles will be hosting an event at Rippavilla the weekend of October 7-9 2011. While it's short notice the intention is not to have more than 40 people at the event. We'll be starting the construction of Winter Cabins in anticipation for a large scale Confederate Winter Camp in a few years.

Impression will be late year 1862 Confederate. I'll be attaching uniform regulations and basic impression information along with the paperwork later. If you are interested send me a private message or an email at westernpicket63@yahoo.com

The events in the future will be set up to have no more than 125 participants and will last several days in length.

Our goal is to roll this on to 2012 and possibly 2013 and make it a larger scale Winter Quarters. Waiting on final approval from the site.

I'm going to be realistic about it. I'll have arrivals as early as Thursday but work will actually start early Friday morning. I think that being able to take multiple days away from home and work is just about impossible for anyone now, and I have no intention of hosting anything that runs from Wednesday-Sunday like some in the past. So if Friday-Sunday is all you can do, it would work out.
