  • Where Are You Coming From to Attend Pickett's Mill?

    Greetings!

Are you guys ready for the red clay at Pickett's Mill? Time to get back into the field.

I was curious about where everyone is coming from to attend this event. Are you driving or flying? When are you leaving?

Steve Spohn and I are heading out Friday morning from West Chester, Ohio, just north of Cincinnati. It should take us about seven hours to get down there.

    What about you?

We are shipping out from Oklahoma tomorrow. Gonna be a hefty drive time, but it will be worth it!

Flying in on Friday morning from Eastern NC. Don't get to do that too often; soooo beats a long car ride!

        Excited for the event!

My dad and I flew in from San Francisco two days ago for a week of battlefield touring before the event. So far we've done Atlanta, chickamauga, Chattanooga, lookout mountain, kennesaw mountian, stones river and Corinth. In the next few days were hitting Shiloh, Vicksburg, brice's crossroads and picketts mill.

I ran into some nice guys at the various parks such as Cal Daniel and Marvin Greer at Atlanta and Keith willingham and Tim Arnold at Shiloh.

              Friday-

Ruck march-in from Woodstock, Georgia... possibly driving. Depends on when I can sign the paperwork for the new house we just bought when I can leave.

I live 40 mins from the battlefield. ;)

Heading down Friday in blue from the land of Lincolnites in East Tennessee.

Johnny Lloyd, how about I park at your house and we stage a pre-event death march to the site?
