I agree too! I was there in the presenter tent. I gave a talk on the Confederate Army of Mississippi and their Logistics, uniforms, and ordnance. The Confederate Army marched right passed the tent on Saturday morning and I was able to get up close and personal-- The uniforms and clothing were excellent-- The only lacking was they should have been rags and bare feet-- But authenticity can go only so far on rocky roads!PY 3.JPG

Enjoyed a splendid event; Saturday's battle was superb. Mounted officers, horse-drawn artillery, regimental bands of music and only one feller in a coon's skin cap. Plenty of spectacle-wearers for certain. I reckon contact lenses had not been invented as yet. Kentucky in October is a sight to behold.
