  • Living Historians needed Sat. Jan. 30

    Folks-

We need US & CS infantry, and civilian women & children for a video shoot on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 30th.

This shoot will take place in Appomattox (not at the surrender grounds, but on some other property).

We'll shoot for about 4 hours or so, this is for our Battle of Lynchburg documentary.

We'll have a warm place indoors for people to hang out and hot coffee.

If you are interested and/or have any questions,

    Please contact me at

    info@historicsandusky.org

    Thank you,

    Greg Starbuck

Fritz- This is for our historic site's interpretive video, so its not a paying gig.

This shoot is best suited for folks who live nearby, Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke, Staunton, Winchester, Tidewater, and so forth.

          Thanks,

            Monetary reimbursement for time/travel? No

This has always been a volunteer enterprise.

            Food/Water/Amenities? Yes

Greg and his "staff" of filmmakers have always provided first class hospitality to everyone who has donated their time to attend past filmings.

When one considers the budget (or lack thereof) that they have to work with, Greg and crew have produced footage that is simply amazing in terms of quality and authenticity. I would hazard to say you won't find their level of professionalism and technical ability anywhere this side of Hollywood.

I would also add that I have met some of the most dedicated and sincerely friendly people in our hobby with truly first rate impressions whenever I have been fortunate enough to participate.

Well worth anyone's time and effort to attend,

Dang, Greg beat me to it whilst I was typing,

I think I might have that saturday off. If I do and I can find a ride out to Appomattox from Richmond, I would not mind coming out again.

Folks, We're going to postpone our film shoot for Jan. 30. The weather calls for snow, so that won't help our efforts any. We'll reschedule sometime in Feb. I'll keep you posted,

                Thanks for your interest,
