Figured I'd put this up for anyone who has interest in Maine units. The State of Maine has put together a online collection of Regimental histories and first hand accounts during the war.
I hope this helps somebody out.

Thanks for posting this. I recently ransacked the internet for information on the 3rd, 4th and 17th Maine and didn't catch this site. There are some good sources here.

Yeah, the State of Maine is really getting into the Sesquicentennial. They are putting a lot of time into research. It's the only time I've been ok with they spend they spend my tax dollars.
Keep checking in on their website though. I believe they plan on putting more up there.
