Re: Any would be Printers out there?
I've been a volunteer at the Village and the Museum since 2003 - that print shop has had no printer for at least 10 years! But we have special events during the year that we are always looking for people to ply their trades at the Village - check the website often!

Too far for me as well, plus I've already got a printing office here in AZ to run. I've been learning the black art the last few years and find it to be very challenging and rewarding, if you are in the area and have an interest I heartily encourage it.
"This is a Printing Office:
Crossroads of civilization
Refuge of all the arts
Against the ravages of time
Armory of the fearless truth
Against whispering rumor
Incessant trumpet of trade
From the place words may fly abroad
Not to perish on waves of sound
Not to vary with the writer’s hand
But fixed in time having been verified in proof
Friend you stand on the sacred ground
This is a Printing Office."

And I'd be Bob's right-hand pi typer, but it's too long of a trip from Nebraska Territory to Ohio.
Hope someone can step up, seems very worthwhile.

I'd do it, but it's out of my commute range.

Any would be Printers out there?
Hello all,
I attended a vintage base ball event last weekend at the Ohio Historical Society Museum, located just outside downtown Columbus. Among the buildings is a fully stocked Printers shop that recently saw the retirement of its volunteer printer. I talked to one of the Society members, and she told me that they would love to take on any and all aspiring printers who are interested in volunteering. if interested, you can check out their website at www.ohiohistory.org .Tags: None
