  • 1863 enfield

    Hi all.
I was checking out a website and noticed an original 1863 enfield, complete on Collectors Firearms for 850.00. It is listed as AL3534. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

The proof marks and V*R under the crown suggest this has a British War Department heritage, not US Civil War. Assuming that was your question?

The ramrod is incorrect, the rear sling swivel has been repaired (badly) and the hammer is chipped up.

Did you have any questions or were you just posting to let the membership know it was out there?

Collector's Firearms tends to price their wares high, IMHO.
