  • Franklin Civil War Show

While I know many were at the Franklin Living History this past weekend, wanted to see who might be making it to the show off of these forums. I know it was a "thing" in years past, just wanted to see who might be able to get together for a pint.

When is it? Stones River has a historic weapons demo this weekend. Next weekend is something out at Fort Negley.

This makes me wax nostalgically for the days of the MOOCOWS Hospitality Suite.

I remember it well John. We used to head down there every year about this time. It was good to have a Franklin fix last weekend, but those were the days, eh?

Just left the show. Pretty good this time around. Lots of non CW stuff there this year BUT some nice CW items as well. Not as many informative displays as in the past but there was really good one on canister rounds. Lodgewood is there as well as the usual relic dealers. Save The Franklin Battlefield and Save Perryville have displays. Made some donations to both and left empty handed and with an empty wallet and a no "buyers remorse".
