  • How much without the story?

"Yes Vet. bring back, the pistol I got at a auction,The spencer Changed sides july 2nd 1863 and was carried thru Petersburg with what was left of the 26th N.C."

I just read this on another forum. It just goes to show there is a sucker born every minute.
    Robert Johnson

"Them fellers out thar you ar goin up against, ain't none of the blue-bellied, white-livered Yanks and sassidge-eatin'forrin' hirelin's you have in Virginny that run atthe snap of a cap - they're Western fellers, an' they'll mighty quick give you a bellyful o' fightin."

Received. “How now about the fifth and sixth guns?”
Sent. “The sixth gun is the bully boy.”
Received. “Can you give it any directions to make it more bully?”
Sent. “Last shot was little to the right.”
Received. “Fearfully hot here. Several men sunstruck. Bullets whiz like fun. Have ceased firing for awhile, the guns are so hot."

No kidding! I just picked up a case of it. It's great for preventing loquacity and verbal breakdown.

A regular 24-count box. I got it at Prep. (Preposition) Boys.

I mean, I got a case, but with treatment, it cleared up.

Extremely, but I like the puns. My compliments on a great, witty thrust and parry!

Uhhhhhh no. I posted this thing at 3 AM so I was a bit punchy, and Im sorry if it was unclear.

Anyway the guy was claiming to have a Spencer carbine that some guy picked up at Gburg and carried through the whole war. Nice story......but!
