  • A question about puttees.

I need some puttees for my French poilu impression. Has anyone tried ace bandages? I think that they would work pretty good if I dyed them the right color. What do you think?

I am building my kit and this seems like a decent idea. What would be the best dye to use?

A related question...is there any documentation for wearing your puttees UNDER your breeches? I know that the PEC thing was to blouse them, but last year at Newville I thought "why not try something different?" Mods, if this violates the "No Farbism" rule, I apologize in advance.

Blue Sharpie + Ace Wrap = Hardcore Puttees on a budget!
