  • Rat breeds?

    What rats are authentic for the Western front impression? I'm thinking 1915-1916 period. Especially looking for breeds interested in human flesh.

    From what I've read, I think the Rattus norvegicus was probably the most feared. Today, these are called 'fancy rats' in the pet industry but at the time, the sight of one would make a soldier's blood run cold.
