  • A question about period lingo

I'm a little confused about what I should call the Germans when I am at an event. I am pretty sure that if I'm portraying a French soldier I would say 'Bosch' but what if I'm doing my American impression? I am not sure if I should use 'Hymie', 'Kraut', 'Jerry' or just 'German'. Any help would be appreciated.

Mike, in almost every account that I have encounterd, the Doughboys were refering to them as either Germans or Huns.

Huns! I had forgotten about that one. Thanks Tyler.

Wow! I didn't know that "Jerry" was a Great War term? I need to double check my GG Uncles letters. He served in the A.E.F. near the end of the conflict.
