  • Boba Fett..... Why even bother?

Can anyone help me, no, just give me some insight on the obsession with Fett? He gets his Mandalorian Butt handed to him by Blind Han Solo... Granted, Han is the absolute best.... so I guess I cannot complain too much.. But, why Fett? General Veers causing more destruction than Fett, Fett's ship looks like a broken 1950s refrigerator handle, and he can't even pull off a sweet move while falling into the Sarlacc?? Come one.... That dude is weaker than Admiral Ozzle.

For the "mainfleeters" it's all about being an "elite unit," so course they just HAVE to be the Mandalorian Commandos. No chance of them portraying an "average" imperial unit. Never mind that the Mandalorians would have been just another unit if they'd been in the Outer Rim Theater...

And have you ever noticed that these guys' pie-pan "mandalorian armor" is completely blasterproof? Those guys NEVER take any hits.

I just want to say to them, " You think you're Boba Fett. From where I'm standing? Dengar. At BEST."

He's Bobba Fett that's why. He's got some of the kewlest looking campaigner gear going. What other reason do you need?

I think people are interested in him because of the mystery. There is not a lot of information given in the Original Trilogy.

The problem with portraying him at events is you have a unique impression. Remember the Battle for Endor Adjunct a few years back? I personally counted 5 Boba Fetts! While I do appreciate the effort of a good impression, a basic Storm Trooper impression is much more versatile.

We need more stormtroopers. Seriously. Good point about the "elite" trend with Fett. Sort of like the 501st PIR or Berdan's in ACW.... Ugh!

Although I am a huge fan of Boba Fett, you rarely see anyone doing him right. For what you would pay for the whole Fett kit you could get a top of the line Storm Trooper impression including the radio links for the helmet, etc. Also, I agree with Herb, we need more General Veers love.

Boba Fett wasn't even at the REAL Battle of Endor!!! FARBS! I also saw a few Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen Lars impersonators at the reenactment of that event too. They were WAY DEAD before Endor's main conflict!
