Is anyone else sick of people not responding to the use of the force at events? It's obvious that you are choking them or trying to toss them across a room by your arm movements. But most just don't take the hint and keep coming at you. So sick of this crap at the cosplay in my area. So three questions.
How do you make your force more effective so people respond?
How do we get people to take the hint?
What events are out there where people will actually do what they should?

There is alway yelling "Hey, I'm Force choking you!", but that ruins the whole first person thing. Personally, I don't do Force choke because of this, I do Force lightning. My secret - use a taser.

Jeremy, sounds like you might be going to the wrong events. In my experience, the best way to go about doing a believable force choke is to script it out before hand with that individual. It may even take a little practice to get it right. But when done properly it will be obvious that the force is strong in you.

^ I agree with Mr. Underwood. I try real hard to link up with the authentics in the Jedi/Force User crowd to script it out. I usually do Imperial, and I'm happy to flop around, or act like I'm getting knocked back by the force. 1) It looks amazing 2) The dudes who do Jedi/Force Users appreciate it, and they are more amenable to Hoth scenarios where we as Imperial forces drive hard over them.
