  • Civilian impression question

    Hello,
So not sure if I'm posting this question in the right place, so admins please feel free to move if need be. I am in the process of putting together my galactic citizen impression and was wondering if any one had any primary sources on clothing materials typical for the lower class. My impression would largely be focused on vaporator mechanic and nerf herder. As such, would it be appropriate to have my clothes primarily made of nerf hides?
    Thanks,
    K. Grey

The Library of the Empire has a large collection of holographic images of common people from worlds that have previously been destroyed. You might check with them and see if they have what you are looking for.

So glad you are interested in a lower-class impression. So many people think they should be dressed like they're headed for Princess Leia's Coming-of-Age Ball. Keep in mind your pards though, especially if any of them portray droids. Your average droid owner shouldn't be dirt poor.

A big consideration to keep in mind is species. Many galactic species had racial clothing preferences or even regulations. Rodians, for example, should only wear spacesuits with smuggler vests.

In answer to your last question, yes nerfhide is appropriate for everyday wear. Unless you're portraying a Bothan nerfherder, of course, since the traditional Bothan ancestor cult prohibited the wearing of hides of sentient creatures.
