Ewok Movies Primary Research??

At the risk of being called a forb....

Are the Ewok Adventures movies considered canon enough to base impressions on? I mean they were produced by Lucas at the same time in the timeline so seem like a primary source. I just know they are not as well known.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar, Both the An Ewok Adventure and Ewoks Battle for Endore (not the Battle of Endore from Episode VI) are both available in full on the youtube.
