  • Not just a Booth Babe

I have to take umbrage with recent comments upon the feminine portrayals.
I have been told that the worlds are so narrow and battles so short that women are unneeded in the narrative. They're fluff, according to a certain Doctor, who claims to prefer to focus on the battle. No wonder his wife needs a break from this "hobby."
The feminine is all over both Marvel and DC. From kick-butt heroines to power-wielding execs, to say nothing of writers, artists, animators, and female actors.

Cretins, have you seen any of those women?
    You have not.
Only the Booth Babe caught your notice.
Did you compliment your Wonder Woman, Black Widow, Storm, or Simmons for risking sexual harassment, inappropriate comments, body shaming, and huge heels to attend Comic-Con? Have you noticed your Felicty or Pepper when your portrayal gets the critical info at just the right time?

Women were part of comics from the beginning. We are not "taking over." We were here from the start.
It is time we get the respect our long standing history deserves.

Heroines and Villainesses, let's put aside the differences and make our power known. There would be no comics without us.
