  • NTHP- Historic farmhouse near Antietam purchased and restored.

You can help save the irreplaceable historic buildings, monuments, communities and landscapes that the National Trust for Historic Preservation has designated National Treasures.

Beautiful house, historic landscape, great people to restore it. Winning combination.

I grew up just a few miles from the battlefield and used to canoe down Antietam creek. This house always had crap in the yard, and all sorts of overgrowth. I can't believe its been restored! Thats terrific. This is a beautiful, albeit somewhat neglected side of the battlefield and its nice that it now has a reason to be visited. Its, if I remember, on the south side of the bridge, and most people prefer to visit the northern side, away from sharpsburg.
