Re: Developer drops Wilsons Creek plans

Outstanding!!! Note the synergy here between environmentalists, preservationists and government. Sometimes the "threat" of action is enough of a deterrent...sends developers looking for something easier.

Wilson's Creek's inclusion on the CWPT Top 10 was probably the final straw in this guy's decision to process.

But they will be back, so vigilance is in order. Thank goodness for CWPT and the grass roots organizations they are staying ontop of this.

According to rangers from Wilson's Creek this may not be over. The property owner, who blames the NPS for the developer backing out, won't even talk to them now. The proposed area that the NPS would like to annex is approximately 10% of the property threatened by the development. The property is still for sale and the property owner is still actively seeking a buyer.

      Stay tuned...
