  • Hopewell Furnace Event Preservation Donation

Every year that we have held the Hopewell Furnace event, the funds left over after event expenses have been donated to the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site. This year we had a special campaign to raise funds for the restoration of the Boarding House hearth/chimney. The Friends of Hopewell Furnace needed to raise $8,000 and the participants of this year's event raised $1,230 towards this project!

Since 2010, we have raised $2,778 for the Park. This is a small event with never more than 40 civilian participants, but we can and do make a difference at this important historic site.

I wanted to share that good news with the reenacting community and encourage you all to come out to this wonderful civilian event.

Plans will soon be forming for Hopewell 2015. Stay tuned....http://hopewell.mainecav.org/
