  • What we are up against....

Below are two articles, from The Freelance Star (Fred'burg) and the Washington Post respectively, that reflect too many people's attitudes about the way they want to live these days. Convenience, materialism, and laziness abound. It upsets me. Anyone else?

"and strong, 6-foot-2 Paul was spooked by the strange nighttime noises."
What relation does this have to do with being afraid of some noises in the night? It's rural, no $#!^ you'd expect something to make noises. Maybe if the writer had said "and strong, 6-foot-2 Paul a former linebacker for (insert any D-1 powerhouse) was spooked by the strange nighttime noises." That would have meant something, for all we know, he works for Initech and was covered in what appeared as "muscular" fat. Anyway, don't we all just love the media.

Pretty sad ....hopefully they will bulldoze every yuppie palace after the noisy nature chases em back to Reston and McClean. Hysterical...must have been a VERY slow news day.

as for the High School Senior from Fredericksburg with no brain...well that figures.
