  • 26th NC's 2008 Preservation Project Announced

    To all:

    The 26th NC's 2008 Preservation Project has been decided...through our partnership with the NC Mus. of History, we will working this year to raise the money needed to restore the battle flag of the 47th NC, which was captured at the Battle of Burgess Mill/Hatcher's Run on October 27th, 1864...for more information on this project please feel free to visit our website (www.26nc.org).     My ancestor was shot at Burgess' Mill. The only known casualty of his regiment.
