Re: Vote For the November Cover

I will vote for #1. I truly enjoyed the commentary on the picture as it was both heartwarming and touching. Besides, I am now close to the Perryville battlefield and have a special place in my heart for such locations.

Number 1 hands down for realism.

All 3 are good but the one I liked the best didn't make it into the top 3 to vote on. Of these 3 I like the 1st one the best. Authenticity, content, and a touching story. In todays world an original photo's story of this type of depiction is lost to the masses, unless the family passed it down.

And for those that are curious I like Arthur Stone's Drawing way better! Way to go Art!

Even though I really loved #1, I had to go with #3. Great images!

Of all of those there, I particularly enjoyed the first and third ones. The first just had a particular eeriness about it I suppose, and the third one too, with the soldier posing with his kid standing on her father's lap. Of those two, I must say that the first was the superior picture, capturing that moment as it did so wonderfully.

Re: Vote For the November Cover

#3 was taken at the Carter House in Franklin a couple of years ago. Shannon asked to have a picture of just herself and daddy.

What strikes me the most of the image is the look on Shannon's face. It shows sadness and weariness yet as she rests her head on her daddy's shoulder she seems to say, " as long as I have my daddy, things will be ok."

The vote for this month is hard as all of the images are very good but I am partial to 3.

My vote is number 3 for sure. I have a little angel a bit younger than that little girl. That is a really neat picture of "why we fight." Whatever that fight is over.

                          My vote goes with #3.

As much as I love our noble hobby and lifestyle, the element I miss most when in the field is my family. This is very sweet photo that is worth a thousand words. You can't say enough about a child and a father together.

Oh yeah, I also really like that Pat Craddock guy too.
