  • Sad News - Anthony Kellon

All I hate to be the bearer of sad new, but Anthony Kellon who was a licensed battlefield guide at Gettysburg, member of the 5th US Colored Infantry and Juvenile Public Defender in Cuyahoga County, OH. Sadly he leaves behind his wonderful wife Lynn, 2 children and his father. Please keep them in your prayers.

Re: Sad News - Anthony Kellon

        John,

You are correct, Anthony lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 51. Some of you may recognize him in these clips from Gettysburg Daily http://www.gettysburgdaily.com/?p=5270.

My apology for the incomplete thought, from time to time even modern medicine can't completely control ADHD, but nonetheless I am sad to have lost Anthony as a friend, fortunately he is no longer suffering. At some point in 2012 there will be a service around Gettysburg to celebrate his life and anyone interested will be more than welcome to attend.

My condolences to Anthony's family and friends. Seems like he was a fine man. IMHO we need more peole of color in Living History. Sad to lose good men like this. May God comfort those who loved him.
