A friend's brother had a big toe severed in a forklift accident. He had it in a jar of alcohol and proudly paraded it around. It was shocking, but I could sort of understand where he was coming from. If it was me, I'd probably do the same.

P.s. Isn't anyone going to point out it's spelled GRISLY, not GRIZZLY? I guess I will.

      Go to this site http://www.championhillrelics.com/WWII.htm
and page down to the Spitfire Canopy.

My uncle bought a jap flyers cap home from the Pacific after WWII. My grandmother made him get rid of it because it was very much like the inside of this canopy and smelled very bad.

There is also a nice Austrian listed by mistake in the WWII page.

Nasty! My heart goes out to the pilot who was flying that plane.

Although Timothy Treadwell's family would probably disagree....

(That was a mighty sweet Lorenz- cheered me up, after looking at the Spitfire canopy!)

That is one nice peice of jewelry! We have in our museum's collection a bullet saved by a soldier in the Iron Brigade. It struck him near the eye and he saved it when it was removed by a surgeon. It's an interesting story:
