  • Roll Call Etiquette during the Civil War

Last weekend, I saw a company performing roll at an event. The members went from ordered arms to parade rest after answering to their names. I commented to a person with me with me about the procedures from Kautz. I stumbled upon this article today and thought it was worth posting.

This is an old article on the Stonewall Brigade page, but it's a good one which ought to be linked here : http://www.stonewallbrigade.net/roll-call.html

Great article on an often overlooked aspect of the hobby. Thanks for sharing this Silas.
