Thanks for posting those images. I'm curious about the provenance of the Mathey coat; as there was no 7th U.S. Cavalry during the Civil War years, any idea what this coat is doing in the G'burg collection?

I to own an original officers frock coat with the interior belt. Appears they were pretty common.
