  • Open seat still available from Arizona

Andy Miller, Martin Aksentowitz, and myself will be leaving Phoenix Wednesday afternoon (9/24) and from Flagstaff early evening to drive to Marmaduke's Raid in Missouri (with possible visits to Wilson's Creek and Carthage on the way depending on the time we make). Following the event we plan to stay at a motel near Kansas City and spend Monday visiting the Arabia Museum before driving back that night to arrive back in Arizona Tuesday evening so that we can be back to work Wednesday.

We currently have one extra seat in the car that we'd like to fill. If your schedule permits and you can get to Phoenix or Flagstaff before we leave tomorrow shoot me an email ASAP at azreenactorATgmail.com.

Since we are already making the trip, we won't even ask you to pitch in for gas. We got the space and want to help any more us's out there get to the event if we can.

So, you think that scrap in the East is rough, do you?
Ever consider what it means to be captured by Apaches?

    Troy,

If you don't mind swinging by Houston to pick me up I'll be happy to ride along. Hell I'll even meet y'all half way in Dallas...if that helps any.:D

Cody, Gladly, but afraid Dallas and Houston are both a bit out of our way...

When you get to Wilson's Creek you are about 185 miles to Marmaduke's. If you have time pull off at Ozark for a pre event meal at Lambert's Cafe, great rolls and okra. Honk when you pass through Springfield and I will wave. I am not leaving until early Friday morning due to work.

        See you there.

Everything is all you can eat...even the steaks! Hands down best fried taters and onions. Now I am getting hungry.

Re: Open seat still available from Arizona

I talked to Mike and Dan yesterday but no go. Need to get a hold of Native (Bill Picking) still and figured posting the invitation publicly was a last resort. Seems a shame to drive so far with an empty seat....

How far is Native from you Troy? Maybe we could bribe him.

Unfortunately , he's around 500 miles away in CA, but if he can make that initial 500 miles, we'll gladly transport him the other 1500 miles.

Man I wish I could go:cry_smile, I could care a less about the 12-13 hours it would take me to get to Phoenix, AZ from Sacramento, CA, but I'm in the middle of a complete impression overhaul after selling off most of my Federal kit (damn you economy!), and can't break commitments I've already made. If anyone can make this trip, its well worth your time and money. I'd love to do it for the Arabia Museum alone, the event's sort of an afterthought (though I'm sure its going to be a first rate event:)).
