Gentlemen and those of you from Texas,

Now you can cut my Hardee Hat, and you can cut my gear, but I have not heard any of you who have tried my recipes...now I am sensitive about my French Cooking...

        Chief Henr'i Beasley,

My fair bride has printed one of your recipes and promises to prepare it for me soon. I will post details of the meal to follow. Members of Company E, another check was mailed today for the Fence Rail Drive. I still think we can set the bar for registration and donations. Do you think Captain Sorchy will believe I sent money to the Fence Rail Drive instead of buying a knapsack?

I am just "SOOooooo SenSative about my cooking"...It's going to be such a long campaign without any appriciation of my cooking, I bet those Faux Louisiana Troops would appriciate my cooking, but they to busy worried about other things.

            Gentlemen of WI,

I have spent a week in the snow, rain, and cold weather up here in WI...and I have not meet a soul who knows anything about Rouxbarb...is this just a joke? I mean I have come up with many ways to cook this so-called rouxbarb...is it really for real?

Well, I am not a man from Wisconsin, but being from Iowa, I can attest to the validity of the plant of rouxbarb. My mom makes one mean Strawberry-Rouxbarb pie!!!

                  UPDATE: Rouxbarb Pie

While on Active Duty in the great state of Wisconsin, I found Rouxbarb Pie, at a place called Gena's Pies are Square in Wilton, WI. Well, it was a different taste, but it was not bad at all. The nice lady ... gave me a bit history of Roubarb, what part of it you can eat, etc.

So for now, I am prepared for you Real Yankees to bring as much pie as you can.....ONE MORE THING for you yanks to bring...Smokey Cheddar Cheese from Humbird Cheese Mart.

                      Dale, me compadre,
I'm really sorry for the s****y weather you had to endure in Wi. last week. My daughter got home from Germany and she said it was the same type of weather. It was good to talk to you though.
No we havent evolved to Rouxbarb cheese yet but I'm sure if you give a cheesemaker enough malted beverages he will make up anything for you:D
                      Cheers

One more thing I like about WISCONSIN, besides everyone being so nice... and I am serious...everyone here is nice. Oh yea, the brew. I don't think there is another state that likes beer as much as these guys.

All in all, good state...if I were a yankee, I would move to Wilton, WI.

                        Glad your daughter is home....grand-dad.

And guys don't forget the cheese.

                          Cheers:D

                            Rouxbrew....

That has a ring....if we could get a town in WI to sponser us,(i.e Parrie du Chein) we can brew it with a label with a crawfish holding a rouxbarb stalk....

Man, we are on to something.....

                            Beautiful day in WI....out.
