Mea culpa for the miscommunication. At the time I wrote about that you refer to here, I didn't know this was a completely flat haversack event.

Still looking for someone to either split a rental car or if anyone has an empty seat and they will be traveling through the area of the airport, that'd be good too. I will only have a carry on bag with some toiletries and clothes for the trip back, all my other gear is hitching a ride. I will be landing at 1040am on US Airway flight 1423. From there, I was thinkin bout seeing the Atlanta Museum, then off to the site. If anyone is landing at the same time, or has a seat empty in their vehicle, feel free to pm me or send me an email: unionprivate@verizon.net

I still am unable to reach Jeremy via phone... Jeremy Snyder, if you still need this seat, please let me know.

Also, I will get the biggest car I can rent at the airport... right now I think it is a sedan I have reserved.

We'll fit anyone if there is room enough. If you are already coming with me, I have called you and let you know. PACK LIGHT! 1 Army duffel bag and small personal bag or musket case should be good enough for your gear if you are coming with me to /from Molena to/from airport, no more. Space is at a premium. I'll bring some rope to potentially tie stuff to the vehicle if necessary.

Coordinating Instructions:

1) If you have a cell phone, lock-in my number or keep it handy. I will have mine on as much as possible. Text or call me anytime. Stay in-contact with me so we can minimize lag time in the schedule.
2) If we can fit you, we'll make room and try to do so.
3) Let me know if your flight is late or if you have difficulties ASAP.
4) Pack lightly... very lightly as possible in order to save room in the vehicle.
5) Bring cash for the rental car... $20 each should do... we can play this by ear.
6) Do yourself a favor... no live gunpowder rounds in any of your baggage or percussion caps in any of your stuff. Make sure to check. Bomb-sniffing dogs can smell this. (Not personal experience... just rumors)

Print this out and keep it for your records!

Actually, the Georgia Militia will be issued rations, but the Federals will not.

Ha, the Federals at Bummers 09 will be like IHOP: "Come hungry, leave happy..."



Huck- Just an FYI: We have 4 people already with a 5th person in line in case he needs a ride. A 6th person would get chaotic with the size of the vehicle we're renting right now, but again... if there is room, then we can take anyone.

Stress on the above "if there is room part"

Heck, if I could, I'd rent a bus, but I can't... :(

We flew 22 men to the 135th G-burg event and rented two trade vans ... the kind that only have a driver and passenger seat ... and aren't legal for additional passengers ... and shoved 11 men into each with all of our gear.

Just pointing out that where there is a will (to be devious), there is a way (to accomplish your goals) ...

For this, the rental car's already been reserved. If Alamo (or any of the other rental places in the airport- Alamo had the best deal at the time) has the largest vehicle possible and if we have enough people at the time we're at the airport, we'll rent it, no problem. I'm pretty sure we can upgrade.

We can tie baggage to the roof of the vehicle if we have enough rope or bungee cords. I have no problem with that either.

Hope someone likes to sit on the roof, because I'm driving... LOL
