Gentlemen,
Mr Coats is putting forth a great effort in both research and time to create a unique event at an amazing site. I hope many more will register to attend what I am sure will be an event to remember. The park has limited the event to 100 men in the ranks. It would be amazing to see us reach that limit. Imagine seeing a fort with an almost full sized garrison. In addition to traditional garrison duties, you can expect some other activities including both heavy and field artillery drill as well as a couple of historical based surprises. I can tell you those that garrisoned Moultrie at the To Prevent the Effusion of Blood event enjoyed the very unique chance to perform heavy Artillery Drill.

2011 is certainly shaping up to be a year to remember. I am sure events will only continue to get better as the 150ths really get rolling. I hope many of you all will consider signing up for this event.

The "boxes from home"

Folks,

Just a brief note. Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring "boxes from home", letters, etc to the event. These can be turned in when you check in and they will be "delivered" during the event.

The boxes need to be no larger by 2 foot by 1 foot by 1 foot.

Be creative with the items you want mailed in! Shirts, under draweres, books, writing paper, writing utensils, cookies, pies, preserves, etc. Remember, the officers can inspect these boxes before they are delivered!!!!
