  • Return to the Heartland: October 24-26, 2014

Just wanted to get the date out there. As discussed at "Life on the Line" the EBUFU event highlighting the Middle Tennessee Campaign has been in the works for some time. Once it was made clear there was going to be no National Franklin event, it was important to many people to highlight this campaign. While the restrictions set forth by the park we were able to work the event in late October.

The event is restricted to 200 on the US side and 200 on the CS side.

Federal POC will be Marshall Joyce
Confederate POC will be Patrick Landrum

Commander and unit impressions will be announced shortly. If you are interested in raising a company please contact me.
    Patrick Landrum

Am looking forward to this to get back into the field again. I had a blast working with the guys here in May so this would be a great way to return the favor for the event you put on down here. I've always thought the 64 Tennessee Campaign has been one of the most interesting campaigns of the war so it'll be great to be up there to commemorate the 150th. Hopefully Franklin in late October is not as cold as Vicksburg was in early May!

For those interested in the 15th MO, check out Long Road to Liberty by Donald Allendorf. It is a pretty good study of this hard fighting St. Louis German regiment.

This event was voted onto our unit schedule for 2014 as well. We worked with Mr. Landrum at Vicksburg last year, and I have fallen in with Pat many times over the years.

                      Gentlemen,

I will be raising a company of Federals portraying the 15th Missouri. I just can't pass up a Missouri impression you know.

Looking forward to this event, will Confederate companies be listed on the website after company commanders have been chosen?
