    Re: Christmas wish list

Peace, unity, redemption, and, reckoning for all, as well as an end to all egos, arrogance, foolishness, stupidity, and lack of respect for other people’s opinions, feelings, and wishes.

But alas, this is a re-enacting community, so it will never happen.....

      Re: Christmas wish list

Two new horses. One for my wife who keeps stealing my cavalry horse and corrupting him by barrel racing him and one for my middle son who is just starting in the world of mounted drill (still too young to fully participate). To go with that, I would like a new Texas/Spanish saddle for me so I can give my son my McClellan. Hmm...I guess I need a larger truck and trailer too.

        Ill bite:

        Period:
A Schuylkill Arsenal Fatigue Jacket kit from Charlie Childs
A knapsack from a reputable maker (man that blanket role is rubbing my neck raw!)

        Non Period:
Cervelo Soloist Carbon road bike. (one can dream :) )

        In general:
An end to the war overseas that claims the fewest lives possible and leaves a lasting peace.

OK. Some new shoes for a Confederate impression would be nice. Perhaps something English with hobnails. And resoles on my Federal brogans. And i know it won't make it by Christmas, but my overfrock from Cody Mobley (hint, hint, Cody! Sew! Sew!) in January. Can't wait.

The sweet little UPS Lady showed up with mine today, a nice little Mississippi Rifle for re-adopting my wild Western impression...

Beyond that, peace on earth, and good will toward beagles...

              Matt,

You got a new coat last winter. I guess that one has a limited range of impressions.

Well, I took a bit of a gamble and sent off a deposit for one of Loyalist Arm's Lorenz rifles.
My real Christmas present won't come until January, when Johnny comes marching home.

Yes, we do not need to forget our troops. Soldiers sacrifice much so the least we can do is let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers.

Let's all send a card or a care package overseas this holiday season.

                        God bless our soldiers!

                          1. Good health and a long life for all.

                          2. That all of our soldiers get a chance to return home in one piece.

                          3. That my sciatica would go away.

                            Re: Christmas wish list

I would love a nice militia shako and the frock coat to complete my militia impression.
I would love for the people in this world to remember what Christmas is really about and love one another so the world could truly be a peaceful place.

And finally, and once and for all, let all the wonderful, greedy individuals who find it necessary to destroy our historical properties and heritage in this country and leave the lands that made this country what is today alone.
