After much careful discussion, consideration, and debate,
Paul and I have decided to make a dramatic change to the Authentic Campaigner.
Right away, we will be transitioning to an all World War I Web Site.
I know this comes as a bit of a surprise to you this morning. We just feel that,
left to an all Civil War format, we don't know if we can survive.

For now and going forward, please keep all of your posts within the 1914-18 timeframe.
Our Moderators will be watching to make sure we all stick to this new rule.
Otherwise, all of the existing rules are in effect, except within the new timeframe.
Lastly, we greatly appreciate your continued support during this transition.
Surely, this will be easily-accomplished if you just get into the spirit of the day.

If not, has there been any thought of going with a Authentic Campaigner site that covers all wars/reenacting in general? (Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I, World War II)

It is an unfortunate but we feel that after the 150 cycle, ACW reenacting will go by the wayside. There is already a lot of hype with the Great War upon us. So in staying with the times it was decided that it was better to upgrade the forum now during the centennial that wait until later. Thanks for understanding guys!
