I for one will still wear my Union blues while charging through the no-man's land between trenches. Maybe confuse the Jerries long enough for our boys the break through......

I have it under good authority that the Army of the Ohio Civil War Reenactors will soon be publishing orders redesignating them as the 37th "Buckeye" Division World War I reenactors.

Eric, since you already have the Corricks ford site secured, can we just change the scenerio to the 148th Infantry's crossing of the Escaut River on 2 November 1918? WE'LL DO IT!

Well, heck, enough of us do WWI and it is the 100th anniversary of the Great War, so, why not convert the forum??

AmCiv is so depressing with the talk of Americans killing Americans and human bondage... maybe WWI is the way to go???

Just had to change as soon as I joined! Now I have to change my Avatar to a World War I version of J.R.R. Tolkien!

On a minor note: What about the 200th Anniversary of the Napoleon Wars?

Re: An Announcement - The War to End All Wars Forum

Twenty-six minutes left and this year's April Fools will come to a close. For those who may not have noticed, take another look at my announcement from this morning:

After much careful discussion, consideration, and debate,
Paul and I have decided to make a dramatic change to the Authentic Campaigner.
Right away, we will be transitioning to an all World War I Web Site.
I know this comes as a bit of a surprise to you this morning. We just feel that,
left to an all Civil War format, we don't know if we can survive.

For now and going forward, please keep all of your posts within the 1914-18 timeframe.
Our Moderators will be watching to make sure we all stick to this new rule.
Otherwise, all of the existing rules are in effect, except within the new timeframe.
Lastly, we greatly appreciate your continued support during this transition.
Surely, this will be easily-accomplished if you just get into the spirit of the day.

Not like it was a big secret since we have done this before, but there it is. Happy April Fools Everyone!

                      Time to clean up!
