    Re: John Crabb (July 10, 1953 - Nov. 25, 2009)

    Beth and family,

My family and I are truly sorry for your loss here on earth. I pray that a peace come over you and your family that is only from God.

I always thought alot of John and admired his shrewdness and quick witt. He always had something funny to say, and was always trying to think of another way get a little further up the "authenticity" scale on the peddler side of the hobby, both things that I admired about him. I also admired the relationship you all had and how you all enjoyed each other, and spending time together pursuing common interests. Although life is valued and we all have no wishes to leave and go to our heavenly home any sooner than God calls us, I truly believe that our loved ones there wish with longing hearts that we could feel the joy they feel now that they're there, free from pain, trouble, stress....free from everything except God's love and glory.

God bless you and your family.

My sincere condolences to Beth and the rest of the Crabb family...
I remember going to their homestead one 4th of July years ago (I think Justin Runyon posted a pic from that night a few posts ago). I will never forget the hospitality and the good time we had watching a huge lightning storm, playing cards, enjoying libation and good conversation until the wee hours. I hope everyone will keep such memories with John close to their hearts.

              Beth and family,

Our prayers go with you and I know we will miss his calm headedness in the hobby. I met John way back in 1993 and he always brought out the best in those he was around. One of the good guys in the hobby and a vendor I would pull for and support at events.

May God bless you and your family.

                Beth,
My heart goes out to you and your family. John was a good friend of mine and I looked up to him and think of you both as family. I just read about his passing. I am glad that he does not suffer anymore but also realize that there will be a void with him gone that will not be filled. He was a great, honest and decent man that would do anything for you and did.
Our hearts and prayers are with you and if there is ANYTHING that I can do all you have to do is ask.
                Love

                  Beth,

My sincerest of condolences to you and all the family.

I consider myself priviledged to have known John and to have witnessed the beautiful relationship between you. He was always just John no matter what accolades and accomplishments were accredited to him. He knew no strangers and always spoke his mind. His laugh and ready smile will echo in many a memory.

May God grant you the grace to get through the coming days with the knowledge that John is now at peace.

                    Beth,

I'm so sorry to hear about John. He was a great fella and I really enjoyed swapping stories with him about his times in the Navy.

I'm thankful for the many times we shared. He was also the one who turned me on to fish taco's and Pacifico beer out in San Diego.

                      Beth,
I am so sorry for your loss. As evidenced here, John touched the lives of so many. He brough humor, friendship and light to all those he meet. I will long remember John and his quick witted humor. He will be sorely missed. Please let me know if there is anything I or the WIG staff can do to help you through this painful time.

John was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. One of my fondest memories of John was the Halloween party at the Crabb homestead a few years back, he had stories for days! Beth, you and your family will be in mine and everyone else's thoughts for a time to come. My deepest sympathy.
